Evergy, Inc., a public utility holding company, engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity to approximately 1.7 million customers in the states of Kansas and Missouri. The company produces nearly one-third of its annual power generation from renewable sources and operates Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station. Evergy owns over 4,500 megawatts of wind generation capacity and maintains ownership or financial participation in more than 75 solar installations. The company's 2025 earnings were $855.6 million with diluted EPS of $3.66. Evergy focuses on three strategic pillars: affordability with cumulative retail rate increases of 4.9% since 2017, reliability through infrastructure modernization and grid improvements, and sustainability through renewable energy investments and emissions reductions. In 2025, the company achieved CO2 emissions reductions of 47% compared to 2005 baseline numbers and received regulatory approvals to construct three new natural gas facilities and three solar farms totaling nearly 2,200 megawatts.
