About MarketWalks
A free, fast financial research site for retail investors.
What MarketWalks is
MarketWalks pulls together the data a self-directed investor actually uses — price history, fundamentals, dividends, seasonality, news, and a market screener — and presents it in a single, fast view. No paywalls, no account required.
The goal is to make the kind of research that used to live behind Bloomberg or paid screeners accessible from a phone or laptop in seconds.
Where the data comes from
MarketWalks aggregates and presents data from established financial data providers:
- Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) — company profiles, fundamentals, news headlines, and live quotes.
- Alpha Vantage — historical price series and technicals.
- Nasdaq Data Link — additional market-wide datasets.
Data is cached server-side for performance. Live prices stream in during market hours; everything else refreshes on a regular cadence. See the Terms of Service for the full data-accuracy disclaimer.
What MarketWalks is not
MarketWalks is an information and research tool. It is not a broker, not a financial advisor, and does not make investment recommendations. Nothing on this site should be taken as a buy or sell signal. See the "Not Financial Advice" section in our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
Who runs it
MarketWalks is an independent project built and maintained by a small team of investors and engineers who wanted a better day-to-day research view than the existing free tools offered. We are not affiliated with any of the data providers listed above, nor with any broker, exchange, or fund.
