The company provides vehicle sellers—primarily insurance companies, but also dealers, individuals, charities, rental car companies, banks, finance companies, and fleet operators—with a comprehensive range of services to process and sell vehicles through its proprietary Virtual Bidding Third Generation (VB3) internet auction platform. In the U.S., Canada, Brazil, the Republic of Ireland, Finland, the U.A.E., Oman, and Bahrain, Copart operates as an agent deriving revenue primarily from auction and auction-related transaction fees. In the U.K., Germany, and Spain, the company operates both as an agent and on a principal basis. The company's service offerings include online seller access platforms (Copart Access), salvage estimation services (Co.ai), automated auction decision tools (IntelliSeller), transportation services, vehicle inspection stations, title processing, loan payoff services, flexible vehicle processing programs, and specialty sales. Copart generated approximately $4.6 billion in revenues and $1.7 billion in operating income for fiscal 2025, with 83% from the U.S. segment and 17% from the international segment. The company processes millions of vehicles annually, facilitating their reuse and recycling while extending vehicle lifecycles and reducing carbon emissions associated with new vehicle manufacturing.
