The Diagnostics and Spatial Biology segment develops and manufactures diagnostic products including controls, calibrators, diagnostic assays, tissue-based in-situ hybridization assays, instrumentation for spatial genomic and tissue biopsy analysis, and genetic and oncology kits. The company was founded in 1976 as Research and Diagnostic Systems, Inc. and became publicly traded in 1985 through a merger with Techne Corporation.
