Primary services include investment servicing, markets and financing solutions, and investment management. As of December 31, 2025, State Street reported $53.80 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration (AUC/A) and $5.67 trillion in assets under management (AUM). The company operates through its principal banking subsidiary, State Street Bank and Trust Company, which traces its origins to 1792. State Street conducts business in more than 100 geographic markets worldwide and is organized as a bank holding company under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, having elected to be treated as a financial holding company under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956.
