General Motors Company is a global automotive manufacturer engaged in the design, manufacture, marketing, and sale of trucks, crossovers, cars, and vehicle parts. The Company operates through two segments: Automotive, which includes the design and manufacture of light duty trucks, crossovers, cars, and vehicle parts sold primarily through dealers in the United States and internationally; and GM Financial, which provides consumer and dealer financing. The Automotive segment further includes operations in North America (primarily United States and Canada), International operations (China, Europe, South America, and other markets), and Cruise, the Company's autonomous vehicle development and commercialization business. The Company's portfolio includes iconic brands such as Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick. In addition to traditional vehicle sales, GM develops software and services offerings including OnStar services and Super Cruise, and has invested in emerging business opportunities including GM Energy. The Company is focused on the transition to electric vehicles while maintaining a strong core internal combustion engine business.
