Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. provides a full suite of global logistics services through a third-party logistics model. As a non-asset-based logistics services provider, Expeditors purchases cargo space from carriers (airlines, ocean shipping lines, trucking lines) on a volume basis and resells to customers. Primary services include airfreight services (approximately 36% of 2025 revenues), ocean freight and ocean services (approximately 25% of 2025 revenues), and customs brokerage and other services (approximately 39% of 2025 revenues). Airfreight services include consolidation and forwarding. Ocean freight services include consolidation, direct forwarding, and order management. Customs brokerage services help customers clear shipments through customs and provide value-added services including warehousing, distribution, Transcon ground transportation, and trade compliance consulting. The company operates approximately 172 district offices across the Americas, North Asia, South Asia, Europe, and Middle East/Africa/India regions. Expeditors employs approximately 20,000 people globally and does not compete in overnight courier or small parcel business. The company serves diverse industries including technology, healthcare, automotive, aviation, aerospace, retail, and high fashion.
