Ulta Beauty, Inc. is an international specialty beauty retailer and premier beauty destination founded in Illinois in 1990. The Company offers a broad range of prestige, mass, and salon beauty products across multiple categories including cosmetics, fragrance, skin care, wellness products, hair care, and salon services. Ulta U.S. is the largest specialty beauty retailer in the United States, operating more than 1,500 stores with an average size of approximately 10,000 square feet including salon services. The Company provides omnichannel shopping through physical retail locations, e-commerce platforms (Ulta.com and mobile applications), and partnerships. Key strategic initiatives include the Ulta Beauty Unleashed plan with three priorities: (1) driving core business growth through operational excellence and elevated go-to-market strategies, (2) scaling new accretive businesses including wellness expansion, UB Marketplace, international expansion, and UB Media (retail media network), and (3) aligning its foundation for future success through optimized operations and cost structure. The Company serves approximately 140 million beauty enthusiasts in the U.S. and operates Ulta Beauty Rewards loyalty program with over 46 million members as of fiscal 2025. International operations include Space NK (acquired July 2025) operating 84 stores in the U.K. and 2 in Ireland, joint venture operations in Mexico (9 stores), and franchise partnerships in the Middle East (2 locations). The Company manages approximately 30,000 products from approximately 600 beauty and wellness brands.
