Company Overview

Nucor Corporation is a Delaware corporation that manufactures steel and steel products, operating through three segments: steel mills, steel products, and raw materials. The Company is North America's largest recycler, using scrap steel as the primary raw material in its electric arc furnace steelmaking process. In 2025, Nucor recycled approximately 20 million gross tons of scrap steel. The steel mills segment (62% of sales) produces sheet steel (hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized), plate steel, structural steel, and bar steel through 15 bar mills, 6 sheet mills, 2 structural mills, and 3 plate mills, with operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The steel products segment produces joists, deck, tubular products, rebar fabrication, pre-engineered metal buildings, insulated metal panels, steel racking, door technologies, towers and structures, and cold finished products through approximately 70 rebar fabrication facilities and numerous other specialized manufacturing locations. The raw materials segment, through The David J. Joseph Company, processes ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, brokers metallics globally, supplies ferro-alloys, operates direct reduced iron production, and manages natural gas production operations. The Company's products serve nonresidential construction, durable goods, automotive, appliance, and infrastructure end-markets. Most facilities and customers are located in North America.
