The company operates six U.S. manufacturing facilities (Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Sergeant Bluff/Port Neal, Iowa; Yazoo City, Mississippi; Claremore/Verdigris, Oklahoma; Woodward, Oklahoma; and Waggaman, Louisiana), two Canadian facilities (Medicine Hat, Alberta and Courtright, Ontario), and one U.K. facility (Billingham). CF Industries also holds approximately 89% of CF Industries Nitrogen, LLC, maintains a 50% interest in Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited in Trinidad and Tobago, and a 40% ownership interest in the Blue Point joint venture with JERA and Mitsui for low-carbon ammonia production. Products are sold to cooperatives, retailers, fertilizer distributors, traders, wholesalers, and industrial users. Core nitrogen products serve agricultural customers seeking fertilizer, while other products support industrial applications including explosives, emissions control, power generation, and marine shipping. The company operates an extensive storage, transportation, and distribution network in North America and has global logistics capabilities. As of July 2025, the company completed a significant carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project at Donaldsonville to enable low-carbon ammonia production, with additional decarbonization projects underway.
